Terms of Use
Last updated: 8 November 2026
These terms apply to the Iqra Scroll app for iPhone, provided by Il Punto Media Srl, Via Europa 50, 24060 Bolgare (BG), Italy ("we", "us"). The app is licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the Standard EULA). These terms add the details specific to Iqra Scroll; if they conflict with the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA prevails. By using the app you accept both.
1. The service
Iqra Scroll shows the Quran one ayah per screen with translations, recitations and tafsir, reading plans and a streak, saved verses, prayer times with notifications, a prayer tracker, a Qibla compass and a home-screen widget. Translations, tafsir and audio are loaded from the internet. We may improve or change features over time; we won't remove the core reading experience during an active subscription.
Prayer times and Qibla
Prayer times and the Qibla direction are calculated on your phone from your approximate location and the calculation method you choose. They are estimates: local mosque times, your exact position, the device's compass and magnetic interference can make them differ. Please check with your local mosque when precision matters.
2. Subscription and free trial
- Access requires a subscription. We offer auto-renewing subscriptions (currently yearly and weekly). The price, currency and billing period are shown in the app before you confirm.
- Free trial. Eligible new subscribers get a free trial (currently 7 days). If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts automatically and the first period is charged to your Apple ID at the end of the trial. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription. Trial eligibility is decided by Apple (for example, one trial per Apple ID).
- Payment. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of the free trial.
- Auto-renewal. Your subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Cancellation. Manage or cancel anytime on your iPhone in Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions, or in the App Store. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; you keep access until then. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
- Price changes. If we change the price, Apple will notify you and, where required, ask for your consent before the new price applies.
- Restore. Use "Restore Purchases" in the app to restore an active subscription on a new device signed in with the same Apple ID.
3. Refunds
All purchases are processed by Apple, so we can't issue refunds ourselves. You can request a refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer law of your country.
4. Religious content
The Arabic text is the Uthmani text of the Tanzil Project, displayed without modification. Translations, tafsir and recitations are provided by Quran.Foundation and belong to their respective translators, authors, reciters and publishers. A translation or tafsir is a human attempt to convey meaning; it is not the Quran itself and is not a religious ruling (fatwa). For questions of practice, please consult a qualified scholar. If you find an error in how any verse is displayed, tell us at support@iqrascroll.com and we'll correct it as a priority.
5. Acceptable use
Use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. Don't copy, scrape or redistribute the app's content in bulk, reverse-engineer the app except where the law allows it, or use it in a way that harms the service or other people. You may share individual verses through the app's share feature.
6. Intellectual property
The Iqra Scroll name, logo, design and software belong to Il Punto Media Srl. Third-party content belongs to its owners (see section 4). The Arabic font (Scheherazade New) is used under the SIL Open Font License.
7. Availability and liability
We work to keep Iqra Scroll available and accurate, but the app is provided "as is" and may occasionally be unavailable, for example when a content server is down. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses. We remain fully liable where the law does not allow liability to be limited, including for intent, gross negligence and your mandatory consumer rights.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring proceedings there. Otherwise, the courts of Bergamo, Italy, have jurisdiction.
9. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the new version applies from the date shown above, and we'll tell you in the app about significant changes. Questions: support@iqrascroll.com.
